Print Photo Management

When your memories are digitized, searchable and in chronological order, you can pass on your stories and your family legacy. And these photos can be shared among all your family members. Your original photos can be safely archived while you use your digital copies to make photo books or use on a private family photo website.
We can coach you on the best way for you to sort, cull and preserve these photos. We are also happy to work our magic for you with full white glove service. All photos are handled with care, using methods recommended for professional photo preservation.
Scanning
Irreplaceable paper photographs are at risk of being lost forever. Do you need a backup? When we scan in your photos, not only are they preserved digitally, we are also able to add in keywords, file names, etc. to add the story to your photos and add to their searchability. Remember Grandma’s handwriting on the back of your old photos that shared when it was, who is in the photo and a date? This can all be added digitally and retained within the photo. Documenting the stories behind the photo is at the basis of your family photo legacy. All prints, negatives and slides are professionally scanned at our Narrative Photo office using the latest technology to capture high resolution images. We perform minor color corrections, sort in chronological order, rename and then add to your digital photo archive. We can handle your older, delicate photos, slides and negatives. Scanning children’s artwork or family recipes to be preserved is also something often done. Your photos and memorabilia are never shipped off site or overseas or fed through high speed scanners because we treat these with as much care as we do our own.
Digital Photo Management

It is estimated that this year alone, 1.7 TRILLION photos will be taken, and the amount of photos we take is not slowing down. With our camera always with us, we can capture multiple shots of the same subject, document the weather, our beautiful dinner plate, or where we have parked the car. Without good photo maintenance and culling, we could be facing a digital hoarding catastrophe!
To tame the chaos, we first gather all of your digital images from wherever the photos may be hiding. Once everything is in one centralized photo library, your photos are backed up, deduplicated, culled and sorted into chronological files. Our end goal is to provide you with a searchable, organized archive of all your photos. Keywords make your archive richer with added information such as name, locations, subjects or events (birthday, holidays, etc).
With everything organized, we provide you with a master photo library in folder structure on an external hard drive. We can help you enjoy your newly organized photos with your own personal online photo gallery or loaded onto a digital frame. We will leave you with tips to backup and stay organized going forward. Or we can provide yearly maintenance sessions to add your newest photos into the current structure.
